Food Oasis Initiative (2021)

Eye Love You focuses on empowering marginalized communities. The south and west sides of Chicago are plagued with food deserts, making it very difficult for local residents to eat healthy, affordable food. Families are forced to grocery shop at corner stores and gas stations. Underserved populations are nutritionally malnourished, therefore struggle to perform well in school, at their job or as a community member. Our solution is to bring the grocery store to these communities. Bi-weekly, we will be stopping in food deserts across the city and offer fresh produce and meals at discounted prices. We aspire to hire local residents, distribute local produce, and most importantly improve the health of our neighbors.
